Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Join us on Thursday March 27th at 2 pm in the classroom of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library as we partner with the Alzheimer’s Association of New York to present Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia. During this 45 minute presentation you will learn about detection, causes, risk factors, stages and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

This program will be presented in the classroom of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library by Megan DeMento of the Alzheimer’s Association. This is a free event for all ages.

Canvas Rainbow Tree Painting

Join us on Wednesday March 19th at 2 pm in the classroom of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library for a painting class. We will be painting a tree with rainbow leaves on canvas with acrylic paints. All ages are welcome. Younger kids will need help from their adults.

This is a free program. We have all the supplies. All you need is your creativity!

Guest Star Gallery Tour with David Brooks

Join us on Saturday March 15th at 2:00 pm for a Guest Star Gallery Tour with David Brooks from Schoharie Crossing.

David will take us through our newest exhibition Mingling The Waters: 200 Years on the Erie Canal and discuss the art and history of the Erie Canal through the works on display.

This tour is free with regular admission.
