Magic of Electricity with MiSci

We all use it…but what IS it, and how does it work? Learn the basics of electricity through hands-on demonstrations, including the hair-raising Van de Graaf generator. Learn how electricity is generated, delivered to homes, and has changed our lives forever.

Space is limited. RSVP one week in advance is required.

Independence Day Party

Happy (almost) 4th of July! Come learn more about this important holiday, hear stories, and make your own Independence Day crafts!

Erie Canal Evening

Join us as we welcome the Corning Museum of Glass GlassBarge and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum's Canal Schooner "Lois McClure" to Canajoharie! The Barge will offer glass blowing demonstrations at Riverside Park between 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm, and the "Lois McClure" will also be open for tours. Both vessels plan to dock around noon. Come watch them arrive and join the fun!

Tickets to the GlassBarge demonstrations are free but required. Click here to reserve your tickets.

To celebrate their arrival, the Arkell Museum will offer a reduced adult admission of $5.00 all day and will stay open until 6:00 pm.
