Turtles to Toads

We're excited to welcome back the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum! The reptiles and amphibians of Vermont are some of our least understood and most fascinating animals. Museum staff will present an interactive slideshow, introduce us to live animals and touchable artifacts. Afraid of snakes? Don’t worry, we can help.

Space is limited. RSVP one week in advance is required.

Paint a Rock!

You've heard of painting on paper or on a canvas, but have you ever tried painting a rock? Stop in and try your hand at creating a lifelike animal, a flower for your garden, or anything else you can imagine! Rocks will be provided by the Museum & Library.

Peanut Butter Party

Learn more about the history of Beech-Nut's peanut butter, and try your hand at a few of the recipes from their 1917 Peanut Butter Cook-Book, including Peanut Butter Cream Soup, Peanut Butter Meat, and of course, Peanut Butter Cookies.

Peanut butter will be handled and consumed during this event. Children with a peanut sensitivity or allergy should not attend.
