Cabin Fever Club: Arm Chair Adventures – Get to Know the Winslow Homer Collection

In this edition of Armchair Adventures hosted by the Mohawk Valley Library System and get to know the Winslow Homer Collection of the Arkell Museum.
Join us on Zoom from 12 pm –1 pm for this fun chat.

Arkell Museum Curator of Education, Mary Alexander, will take viewers through the 21 Winslow Homer pieces in the Arkell Museum. Get the inside scoop about these magnificent pieces, learn about Winslow Homer, and get a sneak peek at next year’s exhibitions at the Arkell Museum.

Guest Star Gallery Tour with David Brooks

Join us on Saturday January 20th at 2:00 pm for a Guest Star Gallery Tour with David Brooks from Schoharie Crossing.

David will take us through our American Art from the Macbeth Gallery exhibition and discuss the art and history of the Erie Canal through the works on display.

The Museum will be closed for our annual winter break; however, you can get your art fix through this special FREE tour of one of the galleries.

All Ages February Break LEGO Build Contest

Visit the classroom between February 21- 24th for an all day, drop-in, LEGO Building contest.

All entries will be displayed in the adult fiction section of the Library from February 27 – March 1st for voting.

The winner will receive a prize!

This is a FREE program. All ages are welcome to participate.
