Homer’s Musical Muse with Katie Boardman

Romantic places and remembered times were beloved topics for popular music in 19th century America. The painter, Winslow Homer, may have found inspiration for his more romantic painting "Moonlight" in sheet music engravings and Harper’s Weekly illustrations.
Join Katie Boardman around her portable pump organ, guitar and mandolin to discover more about this music and sing along on choruses from popular tunes of Homer’s time. Nationally and locally- known songs and instrumental dances will be the fare.
