Come see the wild side of the Arkell Museum and Canajoharie Library and celebrate the animal kingdom! Explore the wide range of animals on display, from daring bronze sculptures to vivid illustrations, then try your hand at making your own animal artwork. • Free art & craft activities for all ages
• Adopt an animal from the Ayres Animal Shelter
• Guided tours through our newest exhibitions, "Canada Lake Portraits" and "Animals in Bronze"
• Hands-on activities with community organizations including the Audobon Society of the Capital Region & the Canajoharie Chamber of Commerce
• “Bring Your Bransom” – Do you have any art by Paul Bransom? Our Acting Director & Chief Curator Sue Friedlander will be on hand to document it for a regional inventory.

The mission of the Arkell Museum at Canajoharie and the Canajoharie Library is to promote and celebrate the understanding and enjoyment of the arts and humanities in Canajoharie, the Mohawk Valley, and beyond. The Arkell Museum collects, preserves, researches and presents American Art and Mohawk Valley History, and promotes active participation in art and history related activities, to enhance knowledge, appreciation and personal exploration by all.
